WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! CELEBRATE HOLLING STAFF!
Behind the scenes Holling Staff is working hard to make this remote learning a time of rich and manageable experiences that promote students academic and social/emotional growth. The Holling staff continues to amaze me. The first week of May is Teacher Appreciation Week. We want to make this week special for the Holling staff even though we will not be able to physically celebrate them. There are a couple of ways you can help.
1. Take a quick moment to complete this quick form recognizing a special teacher!
1. If you would like to send a card or note to teachers at Holling I would ask that you mail these to my home address with Attention to the teacher it is meant for. They will be getting special door deliveries this week and I would love to include as many cards from families as possible. Mail these to: 7410 South 198th Circle, Gretna NE 68028
2. If you are interested in donating a 5-10 dollar gift card to help in our teacher daily drawing during Teacher Appreciation Week feel free to mail it to the same address. This is totally optional and know times are challenging financially for many so do not feel obligated.
3. During the first week of May send emails to staff at Holling who have positively impacted your child.
NOTE FROM MRS. LOGAN
As the sun shines and the feeling of summer gets closer motivation to stay focused on remote learning can become a challenge for all. We appreciate you working hard to keep your students focused and engaged for the next couple of weeks! Here are a few tips to keep up the stamina!
Create a supportive and positive study place (quiet, few distractions, needed materials).
Set a short term goal (5 problems, one page, 10 minutes).
Allow a quick reward when complete (M&M, 2 minute break, praise, a minute to draw).
Repeat.
Share Your Talents Hawks!

2020 Bond Information
On May 12th, 2020 Millard Public Schools is asking voters to consider a bond to address district repairs and maintenance. The average age of Millard’s schools is 38 years old. All together, the district’s buildings are valued at an estimated $700 million dollars. To protect the community’s ongoing investment, the district is asking for a $125 million dollar bond. This would raise the levy approximately one cent. A cent of additional levy would cost an estimated $20 per year on a $200,000 home. The funds would support projects in six areas: safety and security, major renovations, capital equipment replacements, energy efficiency projects, summer maintenance projects and furniture replacements. All 35 schools will be impacted by the bond. Holling Heights will receive around 1.5 million dollars from the bond to support building renovations.
