In-Person Registration TK/Kindergarten 2020/2021 School Year

Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Gregory Gardens

9:00-11:00 AM and 1:00-3:00 PM Multi-purpose room

Kinder student turns 5 before September 1, 2020. TK birth date range 9/2/2015-12/2/2015

Prior to coming for in-person registration please complete the online enrollment, print and bring with you.

Also bring

  • Picture ID for Parent/Guardian
  • Original Birth Certificate for incoming student
  • Shot records birth to current
  • Two forms of address verification:
  • Current Rental Lease
  • Property Taxes
  • CA DMV Car registration
  • W2 form
  • Payroll Stub
  • Voter registration card

Students currently enrolled at GGES in TK will automatically roll into Kinder and will not need to register again.

Visitors on Campus

ALL visitors on campus must first go through the office to sign in for a badge/visitor pass. Whether you are helping in a classroom or at a school event and/or bringing something to a classroom for a party, you need to check into the office before going any further. This is for the safety of all at school. Thank you.

Extra Clothes for Office Needs

We are accepting donations of jeans and bottoms in TK-3rd grades sizes. Prefer unisex for students who may have bathroom accidents.

Family Photo Project

Family and community is what makes GGES and RSP so special. We are working on a special project that features each and every family in our community. Please send a 4x6 family photo or drawing of your family to school. Photos are due to the office by Monday, February 3, 2020. Please leave with Lisa or Kimberly. Thank you.

PTA Corner

**Parent and Pastries hosted by PTA

Students and their parents/guardians are invited Friday, February 7, for pastries in our MUR. Invitations/flyers were sent to teaching staff last week.

**4th annual Gator Gala on March 20 from 6-11pm! The Gala team is looking for donations of any kind for the silent auction. If you own a business, or know anyone that may be able to contribute to this super fun event, please email Robin Greenslade at Ticket sales for Gala will be announced soon.

Healthy Kids Survey

Please complete this online survey and share your opinions on our campus life, student affairs and academic success. This survey is an opportunity to communicate your perceptions about your child’s school. Please let the office, your child's teacher, or email Ms. Koontz and let them know when you take the survey.

Student Appointments outside of School

If your student is late to school due to an appointment, we ask that the parent/guardian comes to the office with your student. It is also recommended that the student get a pass from the office that they visited for missing school as that will be part of the late slip excuse.

Noon Supervisor Opening

We have 1 opening for a Noon Supervisor!! Come join our team to help support student success during lunch. The position is 5 days a week for a total of 7.5 hours. If you are unable to commit to 5 days, please consider signing up as a Sub Supervisor. Inquire in our elementary office.

Elementary Student Lunch Accounts

Payment for student meal accounts can be made in cash or check. If writing a check, please make your check payable to “MDUSD Cafeteria Fund”. Our front office has envelopes just for this and they will get your cash or check payment to the cafeteria. If you wish to pay by credit card, please use the district Titan service to pay onto your student's account

Volunteer Opportunities

*Check into the office to receive your visitors pass.

*Adults will be verified using our online database.

*Make yourself available to support and interact with all students.

*Please no cellphones during volunteering.

Thank you for helping support our positive and safe campus climate.

Volunteers are always encouraged, any day of the week - just come in when you can. However, for the safety of everyone, we can no longer allow non Gregory Gardens children on campus during volunteering, unless they can be carried in a baby carrier.

If your student will be absent, please call the Attendance Hotline at (925) 682-8000 ext. 7042. Please include your student's name, teacher, and reason for absence. Please be sure to call before 9:30 am. Thank you.

To avoid a Truancy for your student, please call the office within 72 hours for any absence. Without a verification for a day(s) missed of school after that time it becomes a truancy.
