Dear Parents
Going back to school can be somewhat difficult for children at such an early age. Getting up at an early hour and settling back into routines are some of the aspects that each child struggles with after a long break. These next few weeks we are going to help them readjust so they can have a successful second semester in PK3.
As we get back to routines, it is important to review our classroom agreements. Classroom agreements and consistent routines help us create a harmonious classroom environment. By promoting clear and shared expectations, the class can run smoothly in a respectful atmosphere appropriate for learning. The “Mary had a Little Lamb” rhyme and books such as “Lama Lama Time to Share” and “Hands are Not for Hitting” paved the way for our discussion. When asked “what can we do with our hands?” children provided alternatives, such as coloring, hugging and playing. We even had special guests that showed us amazing skills with their hands. We encourage you to share and practice positive interactions with your family that involve kindness as well.
Have a great weekend,
