Weekly Community Updates - April 21, 2023
Dear Students and Families,
This week was filled with an earth day focus! The Ocean Conservation Club helped organize the presentations for all grade levels from the Pacifica Beach Coalition. ASB created a spirit day week highlighting earth day. Next week, we will have our final rally where students will step up to their grade for next school year. We are looking forward to another week of spirit days!
Now with approximately 5 weeks left of school, it is a good time for students and families to check grades and reach out to teachers as needed. Students should utilize flex time for make up assignments and/or for additional support.
Take care,
Maritza Torres

Healthy Kids Survey
Each year, families across the state are asked to complete the California Healthy Kids survey. This survey provides a 360 degree assessment of our Sharks’ wellbeing as students, parents, and staff provide feedback on topics ranging from mental health to academics, substance use to community engagement. The survey, found here, should not take more than 30 minutes to complete and is used by the state of California and Oceana to identify additional opportunities to provide support. It is completely confidential, so please give us the most honest feedback you can. Thank you in advance for completing this survey and supporting Oceana in better meeting the needs of our Sharks.
