‘GROWING GREATNESS / GRANDEZA EN CRECIMIENTO'
MEET OUR DIFFERENCE MAKERS:
Each week we will spotlight different staff members
CERTIFIED SUPPORT STAFF
Our certified support staff are teachers who push into classes and help support our students. Mrs. Nielsen, Ms. Brown, Mr. Gillette, Mrs. Shumpert, Ms. Hackett, Mrs. Medrano, and Ms. Grissom (not pictured). They can oftentimes be found co-teaching in a math or language arts class. They are working alongside students to help them be successful.
KITCHEN STAFF
Meet the amazing humans behind feeding our students everyday! Kris Erkenebck, Jen Chapman, Heather Clark, Kyle Atkins, Dina Merritt, Alesa Vaughn, Goldie Benjamin and Alex Atkins (not pictured). What you may not know is the BPMS kitchen is the base kitchen for the district. Food is prepared on site and then delivered to the other schools. Thanking for going above and beyond to make sure students are fed and that food is delivered to the other schools.

TODOS JUNTOS
Dear families, we are starting our Sphero Heros club soon. Please make sure that if your student is interested in soccer, homework help, and Sphero, that you fill out the following form. If you have any questions please contact Amy Johnston at 503-263-7170 or by email, amyj@todos-juntos.net.
Each month, Canby School District and the Canby Kiwanis Club will highlight a different school in our district and will recognize a staff member from that school with the CARE Award. Baker Prairie will be highlighted during the month of December. So, if you know of a(n) [school name] staff member who has made a difference in your life, the life of a child you know, or in the community, please consider nominating them for the CARE Award.
PEDESTRIAN SAFETY TIPS
Before the bell rings to start the day and after the bell rings to signal its end, our schools are active with people, cars, and buses! We are thankful for our community police and fire partners and with their assistance, we’ve compiled this list of pedestrian safety reminders to help everyone stay safe during the arrival and dismissal process. Please take a look and share them with your students.
Make sure you never play, push, or shove others when you walk around traffic.
Use the sidewalk whenever possible, and if there isn’t a sidewalk, walk on the edge of the street facing traffic.
Use marked crosswalks when they’re available. Otherwise, cross carefully at an intersection.
Before crossing, always look left-right-left for vehicles or bikes, and don’t assume they can see you.
Everyone should watch the road, not their phones.
