The state's regulate the economy through central planning and control. Since 2002 factory managers have had limited autonomy to offer incentives.

The U.S. regulations are flexible, unlike North Korea.

Society

They are big into food processing, machine building, military products, mining, metallurgy, and petrochemicals. They have an abundance of hydroelectric resources.

Issues

In North Korea they are having some strong movements happening such as; No Freedom of Speech, No Freedom of Movement, No Freedom of Information, Forced Leadership, No Religious Freedom, and a shortage of food, those are just a few...
