Photosynthesis And Cellular Resp.
Biology Pre-ap Ms. flores Hunter Bauers
Photosynthesis
The main reason for photosynthesis is to make food for the plant. The plant uses carbon dioxide and water to create glucose and oxygen. This process takes place in the chloroplast and only happens in animal cells.
Cellular Respiration
This is the other part of the carbon cycle it is where the plant uses glucose and oxygen to make carbon dioxide. It takes place in the mitochondria and it can happen in plant and animal cells.
Comparison
These processes are very similar they are the exact opposite one starts with water and carbon dioxide and cellular respiration turns the products of photosynthesis (Glucose and Oxygen) into water and carbon dioxide.
