Greek Art and Today's art are very similar, they look similar to each other because of the Greeks being our foundation to what has came now!
Greek Art
This was a statue build for one of the famous Greek goddess Athena. Phidias build this statue to be a sign of protection over his monumental chryselephantin shelter which was made of gold and ivory.
Today's Art
This statue was build to represent liberty, build by a man named Edouard de Laboulaye. He felted that a statue should be build for the United States be to honored.
Greek Religion
Greeks believed in the Gods. They believed each god had a different power and everything works together for the great of the gods. Many people still wonder today did Christianity evolve from the Greek Mythology?........ The world may never know!
Today's Religion
Today, there are a lot of different religions, but one of the main religions is Christianity. If you pay attention to Greek Gods and compare it to what Christians believe in it sounds a lot alike with a couple of things changed. So again the question remains did Christianity evolve from the Greek Mythology? We need to know.
Greek Civilization
The Greeks built many buildings, some were in honor of the Gods. The buildings for the Gods were actually temples, which was the most common building in ancient Greece. The Greeks used to go and worship the Gods in there, but not all at the same time or on a specific day.
Today's Civilzation
As you can see the two pictures are very similar. Our civilization as far as the look hasn't changed one bit. Many different religions today also use temples, where people can go and worship whoever the head of their religion is.
