Here are a few updates and reminders to keep you informed.
Early Dismissal This Friday!
Don't forget! October 29th is an early dismissal day. It is also the end of quarter 1. Teachers will be using this time to finalize grades for the end of the quarter. Report cards will be issued electronically on November 5th.
PowerSchool Problems
Recently, the county has been experiencing some issues with PowerSchool. It is making it difficult to take attendance and record grades. The technology department has been diligently working to take care of the situation. Please, be patient with us as we work through the issues.

This Week is Spirit Week!
Last Chance to Win!
There are two $200 gift certificates waiting for 2 lucky winners. All you have to do is complete the FARMS application by Friday to be entered into the drawing. We already had 4 lucky winners at EMS early this month.
If your family has not yet completed an application, there is still time to do so.
Copies of the form in English and Spanish are included below. If you would like a paper copy, please call the school and we will send one home with your student.
Picture Day - Take 2
We have picture day this Friday, October 29th for students in Ms. Blough's and Mr. Dean's 5th-period social studies classes.
We will also have a picture make-up/retake day on December 7th for students who were absent or who did not like their original pictures.

EMS Yearbooks Are On Sale
We will be offering a 2021-2022 Yearbook! Order early and save money! The cost of the yearbook is $30. This price is only offered until December 18th.

Vaccine Information
For students who received their first vaccine at the EMS clinic last week, the next vaccine will be offered today, Tuesday, October 26th from 8:30-11:00 at EMS.
Talbot County philanthropists have partnered with Talbot County Economic Development and Mid-Shore Community Foundation to offer a $50 gift card to any Talbot County Public School student aged 12 – 18 who is fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
The gift cards may be used at participating local businesses and will be available for pick up at the second dose clinics on October 26th for students receiving second doses at that time.
Students who are already fully vaccinated may bring proof of vaccination and pick up their cards during the second dose clinics on October 26th.
