Dear Robert Hunter families,

We had a great week at Robert Hunter. Masks, Zoom, and distancing are not stopping some amazing learning from happening! Thank you to all of our students who participated in our Earth Day assembly - what creative ideas everyone had for reusing materials at home!

As a reminder, yearbook orders are due May 7th! Our yearbook committee has done an incredible job assembling a yearbook in which all of our students are represented. See information below about ordering!

Next week is teacher appreciation week! We want to thank our amazing staff - this year they have gone above and beyond for our children! Despite ongoing challenges, they are dedicated to ensuring that their students are safe, happy, and learning. We encourage our families to take some time to send a message to our Robert Hunter staff members - and include your children in sharing their thoughts! Please remember to show appreciation for all of our staff, including support teachers, Related Arts teachers, and teacher assistants! We have an amazing team of dedicated professionals at Robert Hunter! Also, May 6th is school nurse day, and we want to extend our appreciation for our amazing school nurse, Mrs. Cunniff - who has worked tirelessly this year to ensure the health and safety of everyone in our school community!

Warm Regards,

Mrs. Glaab and Mrs. Braynor

If your child has not gotten their picture taken, please try to come on May 4th, so that their picture is in the yearbook. You are not obligated to order pictures. We do hope that all RH students can be represented in the yearbook!

Thank you to everyone who attended the PTO meeting and Ms. Van Fleet’s mindfulness information session this past week. We are looking forward to continuing our mindfulness program at Robert Hunter, and we hope that you find some of these strategies useful at home.

Please see the Padlet that Mrs. Van Fleet shared with many great resources for supporting mindfulness at home:

A note from Ms. Corfield

Attention 3rd & 4th grade virtual parents: In the next couple of weeks, we will be starting Model Magic projects. I will be putting packages of Model Magic out in the 3rd and 4th grade pick up bins for your children. Each homeroom will have its own plastic bag which will be marked. Please take only one package per child and be sure your child does not open it until we are ready to start. Start date will not be the same for every class, so have your child put it in a place where they can easily get it. Please email if you have any questions.
