Manhattan Public Schools

Quarter 1

1st Quarter... That's a wrap

Congratulations to students and staff on a very successful completion of the first quarter! September and October in Tiger Nation brought with it, 2nd and 4th place state finishes for girls and boys cross country, 5-8 lip sync battles, K-4 fun runs, the return of the Manhattan High Homecoming Parade, post season qualifying performances from our volleyball and football teams, and lots and lots of growth in learning district wide. Throughout these events and the day to day operations we continually see students demonstrate the core values of Manhattan Public Schools; respect, integrity, community, work ethic, and citizenship. It's a great day to be a TIGER!

Four Day School Week

Many public school districts across Montana have implemented or are entertaining the idea of transitioning to a 4-day school week. In District 5B, Three Forks and Jefferson have already implemented a 4-day week. Townsend and Whitehall are currently considering a 4-day school week. In our efforts to remain fiscally responsible and competitive in teacher recruitment and retention, Manhattan Public Schools would like to start the conversation to explore if a Monday-Thursday school week would benefit our district and community. Please be on the lookout in the coming weeks for a survey that you can participate in to help us gage interest, support, and/or concerns. The survey will contain information regarding specific details and scenarios to consider and will be sent to parents and made available on our website and social media platforms. There will also be opportunities to attend community and parent superintendent advisory council meetings to ask questions and provide input.
