Client Updates
Troy: Per Christine, please have the first patient of the day arrive 30 minutes before procedure time and the rest of the patients arrive 45 minutes before procedure time. They have been receiving complaints from the patients about waiting too long before being called back. Let’s do our best to get these patients back promptly. If the 45 minute window is not working, please let me know.
Rockford: I know this is a far, far, away place. We are doing our best to spread the wealth and rotate everyone! Of course, if you like going and would like to volunteer, please let us know.
Clinical Updates
Propofol Pump: Some have stated the turn dial is not "clicking" back on its own and not working. It still works, you just have to manually turn the button back to "run" instead of it "clicking" back on its own. The pumps have been tested and are running fine.
Sample IVs: We ordered new IVs to sample.
A big thank you to Cynthia B for recommending these. We received a few boxes to sample. MDDS, York and Hinsdale have some. Please try these out and let us know what you think.
Some benefits include:
• Made of polyurethane, which makes it extremely flexible, kink-resistant and durable.• Provides staff with higher certainty of catheter placement due to unique flashback feature.
• Improves visualization for difficult venipunctures.

360 Evals: The 360 eval deadline was Wednesday. A big thank you to those who have completed them on time. We know it was time consuming but the data and feedback will be extremely valuable. Once we've gathered all of the data, Elise and I will be meeting with you individually to review.
Staffing: We've had some great referrals come in! A big thank you to Sally and Candice for sending the referrals our way. Word of mouth is the best kind of referral!
Liesl's last day was September 24th. We wish her well on her new adventure as a flight nurse. A big thank you to Dr. Grau for bringing in cupcakes and Audrey for buying lunch!! It was much appreciated. We'll miss you Liesl!
RN Outing: We had our RN outing on September 19th and we couldn't of asked for a better day. Well maybe some smaller waves but we still braved it and Dr. Grau's husband Brian, was an excellent Captain. After a day on the lake, we were able to enjoy a fabulous dinner at The General. It was great catching up outside of work and relaxing!!
Nurses just wanna have fun!
