Here It Comes
My Summer Adventures
Welcome to #TeamHES!
THE BUILDING IS READY! FIXER-UPPERS IN PROGRESS
I have a few surprise "Fixer-Uppers" going on in the building as well. We will reveal the all-new Book Room and Staff Collaboration Space (AKA Room 5) during our opening meeting. That means you will not be able to get into Room 5 at all this summer. If you decide to clean out your room and want to give things away, please place them on a chair outside of your classroom and send everyone an email. They will be left for a short period of time before Nancy takes them away!
Please note that mailboxes will be arranged in alphabetical order by department/grade level!

Beginning at 12:00, we will have a Workshop Model refresher training for our new and 2nd year teachers, as well as for anyone else who would like to attend. The workshop model and effective conferring techniques will be covered during this refresher! This will be a great time to have your questions asked or spend time planning with your year-long workshop with your grade level team!
It takes a village.....
Last week Anne realized that baby Maura was ill. She took her to the doctor where they were given antibiotics. After Maura did not improve, they took her to the ER in St. Louis where doctors found some bleeding and a small mass on her brain. The mass will be removed with surgery. Anne, Rich, Jack, and Quin are remaining positive, hopeful, and strong. They are hoping for a quiet recovery time after surgery. This recovery time could be weeks.
While I know everyone is very concerned about Maura and Anne, I am asking you to respect their wishes for a quiet recovery. Please consider how difficult it is to discuss or text about. Baby Maura is in the PICU so they cannot accept any deliveries. If you'd like to send a card, please bring it to me, and I will get them to Susan to deliver. As I learn more about the weeks to come for the Winkelmann's, I will share what I am asked to. Please continue to send positive thoughts, prayers, and hugs their way.
