What is Dual Credit?
Dual Credit Eligibility:
In order to take a dual credit class you must meet the eligibility requirements set by LEISD and our partner universities.
- 3.0 cumulative or content area GPA.
- Take and pass corresponding TSI content tests.
- Attend a Dual Credit Informational Meeting
- Complete the Application Process by April 22nd, 2016.
Step 1: Attend an Informational Meeting

2/9/2016:

Step 2: Complete your College Application
- Apply Texas: Complete online application at www.applytexas.org
- Select the box to apply for NCTC.
- See Mrs. Brown in the library if having any issues with completing your application
Step 3: Dual Credit 101 -ALL ONLINE
- You must have successfully completed Step 1 and Step 2 to receive your login for Dual Credit 101.
Step 4: Take the TSI College Readiness Test
The TSI College Readiness Test is administered by colleges and universities as a placement exam for all students attending a Texas Institution of Higher Ed as part of the Texas Success Initiative. Little Elm High School, in partnership with TWU, will be be a host site for test administration this spring.

- If you are unable to attend either date, please register/pay to take the TSI at any NCTC Campus. Scores must be submitted to the LEHS Counseling Office by April 22, 2016.
Step 5: Request Official High School Transcript
- You will need to request an official transcript, and it may take up to a week to receive the official copy needed by the college or university.
- Transcript Request Forms (PARCHMENT) can be found on the LEHS website or in any House Office.
Step 6: Proof of Meningitis Vaccine
LEISD is requiring all potential Dual Credit students to provide proof of the Meningitis Immunization, in order to ensure you meet the requirements set by our college partners. The immunization must be current, within 5 years of the first day of class.
Step 6: Turn in Paperwork
All forms are due by 4:30pm on April 22, 2016. Please return all forms, including your official transcript to Susan Holloway in House Office A-D.
