The DCMS Bat Signal: 3/9/2020
Super me, super you, everyday heroes make dreams come true.
Last Friday marked the end of the third quarter. Be sure to have grades entered for parent viewing on Monday, March 9th by 3 PM. Please give feedback by posting comments for your students. The expectation is that all your students with grades lower than a C have comments without exception.
This week we have PLCs on Tuesday and Faculty Meeting on Thursday morning. The Faculty Meeting will be more informational than normal. We will be discussing the "Go Bags", Reunification Drills, and information regarding our preparation for a response should we have a case of Covid19 occur. Should we finish the meeting early, teachers will be dismissed to work independently on items discussed at the meeting.
Please clear teacher desks and tables in your classrooms nightly to allow for thorough disinfection by housekeeping. Even if you have to put items temporarily on the floor, it is worth having the surfaces you touch most often sanitized.
Regarding Covid19, the biggest message is, do not panic. During this time of uncertainty, please take home your Chromebook nightly in the event that an eLearning day would become necessary.
Please do wash your hands often and thoroughly with soap. Encourage students to do the same. Coach one another to stop touching our faces with our hands. Cough and sneeze into your upper arm/sleeve instead of your hands. Again, no panicking. We prepare and respond according to the plan. You will be receiving an email from Ashton Brellenthin and Morgan Walker today that will outline the general plan. We will discuss further on Thursday AM. This too will pass.
Have a great week!
Marsha
