Haile's Headlines
March 15, 2019
2nd Grade
Next week, we will learn about fractions.
Reminder: Students need to take home their math homework in their math folder daily along with the homework sheet where they have written down their homework. This is a way for me to communicate with you daily. If students do not get to do their homework, I will send home a orange check note that I will attach to the homework sheet, so that you are aware that the homework was not completed. I will also write on the homework sheet that a check note was sent home. Please sign the orange check note and have your student complete the homework and return it the next day. We have homework nightly, Monday through Thursday - No Homework on Fridays for 2nd graders. Students should also bring home their math journal to study or review a little each night, especially if they are having difficulty with a concept. Math Journals should be brought to gifted each day.
Each Friday, I will send a newsletter through Remind that informs you about what we did for the week and to preview the next week. Please sign up, if you haven't already.
Please clean out your math folder this weekend. There should only be Geometry Creations in the math folder unless it was turned in on Friday. Students will get a new homework sheet on Monday.
Happy Birthday to all of you born in March!
3rd Grade
Next week, we will finish this unit. We will have a Show What you Know on Monday. On Tuesday, students will need to bring their devices because we will play Kahoot during math class. On Wednesday, 3/20th, we will have a math test. To finish the week, we will learn about area and perimeter.
Please clean out your math folder.
5th Grade
Students need to learn their multiplication and division facts. Please practice those each night.
Donations PLEASE!
We will need tissue as we are on the cusp of allergy season. Please send in a box of tissue to enhance our supply.
In addition, please send in a bag of candy to replenish our supply for the remainder of the year.
Thank you so much. Have a great weekend!
