Epidermis is the top layer of skin, the part of skin we see. Dermis is the
second layer of skin. It is much thicker and does a lot for your body.
The nail tissue and the hair both make up the Integumentary system. Skin cells produce vitamin D which helps the digestive system absorb calcium. The layer of skin which containsd nerves and blood vessels is the dermis.
