Welcome to the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary & St Matthew
Pope Francis Monthly Intention: Faith-Filled Young People
We pray for all young people, called to live life to the fullest; may they see in Mary’s life the way to listen, the depth of discernment, the courage that faith generates, and the dedication to service.
Lord, I draw near to You today.
I am seeking Your face,
I want to hear Your voice.
I want to learn Your will for my life,
and to obey it wholeheartedly.
Help me to know Your voice,
and not to be deceived
by the voice of a stranger.
Help me to guard my heart
from the influences of this world
and the people around me.
Help me not to be deceived
by the devil and his lies,
but to view all my thoughts
and decisions through the lens
of Your righteousness.
As I seek to hear Your voice
for instruction, correction, and guidance,
help me to confirm Your voice
in times of praying with the Scriptures.
Help me to feel confident
in knowing that I hear Your voice.
Amen.

We pray for the Ukraine...
Holy and Gracious God
We pray for the people of the Ukraine, for their country and their leader.
We pray for all those who are afraid; that your everlasting arms hold them in this time of great fear.
We pray for all those who have the power over life and death; that they will choose for all people life, and life in all its fullness.
We pray for those who choose war; that they will remember that you direct your people to turn our swords into ploughshares and seek for peace.
We pray for leaders on the world stage; that they are inspired by the wisdom and courage of Christ.
Above all, Lord, today we pray for peace in Ukraine.
And we ask this in the name of your blessed Son.
Lord have mercy.
Amen
