Leap years have 366 days instead of the usual 365 days and occur almost every four years.

Arrival
ARRIVING EARLY-STAYING LATE (STUDENTS):
Time before and after school is used by teachers to plan and prepare lessons and materials. Because teachers are unavailable to supervise them, we cannot allow students to play outside prior to 7:45 a.m. or after 3:15 p.m. Normal arrival time is 7:50 a.m., when supervision is available.
Lost and Found
Every year the school lost and found contains many personal items of clothing that are never claimed. These items are donated to our Bargain Box bi-weekly.
To avoid losing your valuable clothing, parents are asked to clearly label all personal belongings with the child’s name so that lost items may be returned promptly.
Have your student check out the lost and found bin on a regular basis, this is located in the cafeteria hall.
Absences
PLEASE CALL: ATTENDANCE
When you know your child will be absent from school, please call the school between 7:30 and 8:45 a.m. If we have not heard from you, someone from the office will have to call you at home or at work. If we are unable to reach you, it will be necessary to call the emergency names listed on your child’s information sheet.
We want you!!
We are excited to welcome new members to our school district team! We believe in hiring qualified individuals who are passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of students. If you share this same passion, we encourage you to apply for a position with us. To learn more about the application process, please refer to the instructions provided in the link. We look forward to you being a part of the PARK 6 TEAM!
Transportation-Bus/Pick up
Bus Information-
If your student requires transportation call our bus barn at 587-2851.
Please ensure that your child has their ZPass with them if they ride any bus. Starting in January, we will be strictly enforcing the use of ZPass on all buses, including in-town field trips. Our top priority is to ensure the safety of all students and to keep track of when and where they get on and off the bus. If your child needs a new ZPass, please contact the Transportation Department to get a replacement card form. You can return the form to your school secretary or drop it off at the Transportation Office along with the $5 replacement fee. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call 307-587-2851. We wish you a happy new year from the Transportation Team!
Bus Routes-
The attached link shows our bus routes. https://www.park6.org/documents/departments/transportation/2022-2023-bus-routes/366663
Car Riders Kiss and Go-Drop Off in the Mornings-
Parents may drop off in the mornings from 7:45-8:10am. Students may enter the building if they are eating breakfast. If students are not eating breakfast at school, they may follow the sidewalk to the playground with teacher supervision available.
Car Riders Kiss and Go-Afternoon Dismissal-
Students who are using our Kiss and Go may be picked up along the curb. You will stay in your vehicle and follow the other cars, pulling up to the curb in the next available spot. A staff member will then put your student in the vehicle. Please write your students name on a sheet of paper and display this in the upper right hand corner of your dashboard, this will help with the flow of Kiss and Go.
School Meals: Breakfast and Lunch
Livingston families, as account holders you can use LINQ Connect for on demand access to your student's school account. This link is located below for easy access. If you created one last year, this will be the same login information.
With this secure meal account, you can easily make meal payments, link student accounts, access menus, track purchases and more!
Also, please make sure to fill out our FREE AND REDUCED meal application. Even if your children don’t eat school lunch, there might be other benefits to qualifying for free or reduced-price meals. We have the link below to fill out the form, or you may get a copy from the office.
The amount of funding schools get from the federal government, the state, and the district can depend on how many of their students qualify for the subsidized meals. The forms are used to measure assistance, which may qualify schools to receive more resources for students.

Winter Clothing Guide
Winter weather can be unpredictable and sometimes dangerous. Be prepared by: Dress warmly: Wear layers of clothing, including a hat, gloves, and a scarf to keep your body heat in. Please continue to label your student's clothing, this helps with items ending up in the lost and found.
Note from the Nurse-Mrs. Lambert
February is National Children’s Dental Health Month. Dental screenings will take place on Monday 2/26/24. Your child will bring home a card with results of the screening. Thank you to our local dentists who volunteer their time for these screenings.
Dental health is an important part of overall health. Tips to help your child maintain a healthy smile:
· Brush teeth at least twice a day with an ADA-accepted toothpaste. Aim for 2 minutes of brushing and clean all tooth surfaces.
· Clean between teeth daily with floss. Tooth-decay causing bacteria linger between teeth where toothbrush bristles can’t reach.
· Eat a balanced diet, avoiding sugary snacks and drinks.
· Visit your dentist regularly for professional cleanings and oral exams. Ask the dentist about your child’s specific fluoride needs.
