Dear Bethany Families,
THANK YOU to everyone who contributed donations for snacks and drinks for the staff. A special shout out to Bintu and Benita for setting up such a beautiful display. I wish you could see and hear everyone's reactions...so much gratitude and appreciation. This is emblematic of the culture of support and kindness that is Bethany.
I want to make sure everyone has seen the information regarding the EARLY RELEASE DAYS that were added to the district/school calendar for the rest of the year. School will end 2-hours early, at 12:35 pm, on the following days:
- Tuesday, February 15th
- Thursday, March 10th

All students will still receive specials and lunch on the early release days in a modified condensed schedule.
I love this quote from Nelson Mandela that I would like to share in honor of Black History Month. I am inspired everyday by the love and compassion that I see in your children. They give me hope for unity, acceptance, and celebration of our differences in the future.

OHSU Covid Testing
Friendly reminder: If you want your child to stop or resume taking the OHSU weekly test, we need your request in writing. Please feel free to email AnnMarie at email@example.com.
OBOB dates were released this week for 3rd - 5th grades and they didn't give us much time!
- Battles must be completed by March 11th
- Regionals will be held April 4th - 29th
We really need a parent coordinator to make this happen - competitions will be on Zoom.
Library Books: Looking for good quality, used (or new!) children's books in a foreign language that you would be willing to donate. I would really like to improve our world language options.
Thank you all for your support.
New books, place holds, check past dues - it's all here.
The Destiny login button is in the upper-right corner. Click that and then the blue button that looks like the one below - (Do not use the one that says "Log in using your Follett account"). You may need to enter your student's ID and password - the one they use to get into their school computers if you are using something that has never been connected to the school system. Please note you can only place hold on books that say "out."
Just a quick reminder of the library website! You can pre-shop library books, place books on hold that are already checked out, and view your child's current checkouts.
Please return books to the teacher's classroom bins as soon as you are done - no need to wait for library day!
We Love Our Counseling Team
