2021-2022 School Picture Day

School picture day is scheduled for this Tuesday, October 5. Students will be called down to the main gym, throughout the school day, to take their photo. Order forms are available at school through your child's Advisory teacher.

Chromebooks are a regular part of your child’s daily school life. Below are reminders and additional information regarding student Chromebooks:

  • Please remind your child to charge his/her Chromebook at home EVERY night. Coming to school with a fully charged Chromebook ensures your child is prepared for the day. Thank you in advance for helping with this reminder.

  • Remind your child that Chromebooks are monitored through the District 45 GoGuardian content filter 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Students should only use Chromebooks for school-related purposes.

  • Looking for tips for managing your child’s Chromebook at home? Check out the “Tips for Managing Chromebooks at Home” document by clicking here.

Builders Club Spirit Week

Every year, Builders Club chooses an outside organization to support and bring awareness to our students. This year, Builders Club members have chosen NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) as that organization. Builders Club will plan and implement activities over the course of the year in support of this organization. This week, Builders Club has coordinated a spirit week that promotes positive moods and mindsets. Check out the daily spirit week themes here. Encourage your child to participate by making it a family coordinated event!

General Reminders

We are asking families to discuss with their child(ren) two important school reminders. Thank you in advance for discussing these topics with your child(ren).

  1. Morning entry takes places daily from 8:10 to 8:25 a.m. Students should enter through designated grade level entrances and report directly to their Advisory classroom, unless they are reporting to the cafeteria to eat breakfast. Students eating breakfast at school should enter through door #5 and report directly to the cafeteria. Breakfast students should report directly to Advisory after they are finished eating in the cafeteria.
  2. Masks are expected to be worn properly when indoors and on buses. This means making sure your child's mask fits properly over his/her chin, mouth, and nose. In addition, students should bring an extra mask to school in the event his/her mask breaks or needs to be changed during the day. Please check that your child is wearing his/her mask properly and has an extra mask at school.

Quarter 1 Reminders

The last day of quarter 1 is October 22. All assignments, projects, makeups, and any items that are included in your child's final grade must be completed and submitted by Friday, October 15. Help your child succeed by having him/her regularly check PowerSchool to see all grading information (assignments, assessments, projects, etc.). Any assignments marked with an orange exclamation point (and score of 50%) are considered missing and should be completed and submitted to your child's teacher(s). Please make sure your child notifies any teachers of missing work that has been submitted for credit. As always, contact your child's teachers directly with any specific questions.
