Pasta for Pennies
Gear up for MST's Pasta for Pennies fundraiser benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! On February 1st, your child will receive a small bank to use to collect donations. S/he will turn in the donations to his/her classroom teacher. Peer Mediators and Student Council Officers will collect the classroom donations each week. The class with the highest collection will receive a pasta party from Olive Garden. Last year Mrs. Fulbright’s class won! Who will it be this year?? The top two classes will receive vouchers for 1 hour of jump at Urban Air. Your support truly makes a difference. By donating your spare change, you are helping save lives.

Random Acts of Kindness Week
Each grade student can earn pink flowers for their grade level pot for individual kind deeds. Each grade can earn a red flower for kind deeds done as a class. The grade level with the most kind deeds will earn a special treat for their Valentines Day parties on Friday.

"Instructions Not Included" is a series that offers free information geared toward parent(s)/guardian(s) who would like to learn new strategies to better understand and help their child(ren).

Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)/Medicaid for Children

Free event to help with the application process for Health Insurance. Working families of four people earning about $49,959 or less per year may be eligible to insurance all the children in their family for $50 or less for twelve months through the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Rates are based on the number of people in your family and your family's income.
Benefits include hospitalization, doctor visits, prescriptions, vaccinations, lab tests, eyeglasses, dental coverage, and more. Pre-existing conditions are covered.
All you need to bring is proof of income (recent paycheck stubs for the last two months, or a letter from your employer, or your latest income tax return, your child(ren)'s social security number(s), and a copy of your child(ren)'s birth certificate(s). Bring receipts for childcare and receipts for child support paid or received if they apply to you.
Children must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents to qualify.
