Responsive and Diverse Reads
Our GRMS March Madness list includes the 33 most checked out books thus far in this school year. They represent the wide array of social issues, historical events, fantasy and dystopian themes that our students are presently reading. Titles include many strong female characters, Hispanic culture, African American protagonists, immigrants, refugees, and LGBTQ youth. They also reflect the continued love of dystopian plots, development of graphic novels with complex characters and the growing genre of narrative nonfiction for middle schoolers.Click on any book for more information.Students will vote throughout the month narrowing the list to the the Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4 and the 2019 Winner. 36,758 books have been checked out to date from our library.
