LCES United: Together We Are More!
Mrs. Hladun's Tidings
Big shout out to our PTC and PTC Board. These parents work tirelessly to support our school by providing wonderful enrichment experiences, fun community building events, and fundraising that is actually fun!!! We love you and appreciate you, PTC!
Lincoln Crossing is a special place to learn and work. We take pride in helping our students discover their own leadership potential. One wonderful opportunity for our upper grade students is to become a "Greeter Leader" and assist us in keeping our campus safe and welcoming at morning drop off. Mrs. Adams is hosting an informational meeting on Tuesday, Sept 12 at 10 AM (grade 4/5 first recess). Any 4th or 5th grade student interested in being a Greeter Leader is invited. Applications are now available in the office or from Mrs. Adams.
After school pick up is a really challenging time - we have about 600 kids leaving campus at once. Please help us keep your children safe by:
~ encouraging your children to use crosswalks and walk/ride home with a buddy
~ if you pick up in a vehicle, your children will wait for you behind the blue dots on campus. Please either park and walk onto campus to gather your child or pull into our drive through loop.
~ the lot adjacent to the park and the streets on the perimeter of campus are great places to park and then walk onto campus to get your child. Please do not encourage them to meet you in those places...they are not supervised, and we worry about their safety!
~ please do not bring your pets onto campus past the blue dots. Some children are very fearful of animals, and sometimes pets become unexpectedly fearful of children!
Remember that we provide supervision until 2 pm on Mondays and 3 pm Tuesday-Friday. It's significantly less congested around campus after 1:50/2:50 - consider arriving a little later to avoid the rush and stress!
Ear Buds & Headphones
In order to promote good hygiene and comfort, please consider sending your child with a pair of headphones or earbuds in a baggy with his/her name on it. Your child can keep their pair in their own desk to use when needed.
Here are a few options available on Amazon (hello free shipping for Prime Members!):
