PFHS Idaho Business Educators Bring Home Awards!
Angela Blair- IBEA Secondary Teacher of the Year!
Here is her award nomination:
"Angie is one of my dual credit mentees at North Idaho College in the Dual Credit Computer Applications and Office Technologies Partnership with local high schools in which students can earn an NIC Computer Applications Basic Technical Certificate. Her program at Post Falls High School is extremely successful and most of that has to do with the support and recognition she gives her students in her program. Angie’s program consistently has the most participants and Computer Applications BTC’s earned each year. This is due to the hard work and dedication she puts into her program and her students. Since starting in the spring of 2017, she has had 820 students complete 3056 credits and earn 182 Computer Applications BTC’s. This is an extremely noteworthy accomplishment and in addition, she individually recognizes each of these students by sending letters home to parents, puts the accomplishment in the announcements, displays their pictures on a dedicated TV in the hallway outside her room, and presents them with certificates at the PFHS end of the year award program. Angie’s hard work and dedication to her students is so inspirational and they are lucky to have her."

National School Psychology Awareness Week (November 7th-November 11th, 2022)
Why Do Children Need School Psychologists? All children and youth can face problems from time to time related to learning; social relationships; making difficult decisions; or managing emotions such as feeling depressed, anxious, worried, or isolated. School psychologists help students, families, educators, and members of the community understand and resolve both long-term, chronic problems and short-term issues that students may face. They are a highly skilled and ready resource in the effort to ensure that all children and youth thrive in school, at home, and in life.
How Do I Contact a School Psychologist? Every school has access to the services of a school psychologist, although some school psychologists serve two or more schools so may not be at a particular school every day. Most often, school psychologists can be reached by inquiring at the school directly, the district's central office, or locating contact information on the school or district website.

NIC Workforce Training Apprenticeship Program Open House
We invite you to join us and learn more about our commitment to Registered Apprenticeship and how these unique work-based training programs make a difference in our community.
Date: November 18, 2022 (Fri.)
Time: 3 PM – 5 PM
Location: NIC Parker Technical Education Center, 7064 W Lancaster Rd, Rathdrum, Idaho 83858
The highlight of this event for high school students is that they can meet instructors, tour the Apprenticeship Program facilities and receive the “Preferred Apprenticeship Track” information, which shows them how to get a job, how to register as an apprentice, and how to get 90% tuition assistance for the next four years of education through Idaho Launch.
Apprentices can earn money from day one! Many traditional education and training options cost time and money. An apprenticeship will allow them to pursue the training they need for a successful career without taking on debt.
