Message From Mr. McCracken

Dear LTMS Families,

Thank you to everyone that was able to attend conferences this week! We have a great community and I am continually impressed by our students and by the parental support. And, if you're looking for another way to support the school as well as information about a fun, family event, make sure to check out the PAWS dodge ball information at the bottom of the newsletter.

Go Panthers!

Mr. McCracken

Thought For The Week

PAWS Thank You

If you wonder how the money from our PAWS organization impacts students and staff at LT, I've got two great examples. First of all, PAWS covers the cost of all busing for field trips. This ends up being in the thousands of dollars, but allows our students learning opportunities they wouldn't normally have. Secondly, they purchase items for students and the school. Most recently, with the help from PAWS, we were able to purchase this AWESOME track and cross country record board (pictured below)! And, of course, THANK YOU to PAWS parents for the food at conferences! Our teachers feel appreciated and it always tastes delicious!

LTMS Highlights

National Anthem

LTMS started playing the National Anthem before football and basketball games this school year to honor America and give students who might not go on to participate in high school varsity athletics to have that experience. We are always looking for volunteers to perform, and several of our 8th grade choir students did an outstanding job last week. Check it out below!

8th Grade Band

In addition to the classics, Mr. Foster likes his students to play contemporary music. So this past weekend, he wrote out all the music to "Old Town Road" and had it ready for each instrumental group on Monday. The video below shows them playing the music for just the second time. I don't know if I'm more impressed with their performance on the first day of looking at the music, or with Mr. Foster for putting it all together.
