Bright Lights of November
Keep on learning!
Mrs. C's class says thanks to our vets!
The 11th day of the Elevent Month
Mrs. Czerwonka's class wanted to say thanks to our veterans. A 93 year old US Navy veteran was sent thank you cards for his service to our country. Mr. Pittsley was very happy to receive these best wishes of gratitude. Thanks to all of our veterans!
Market Day Announcement
I wanted to let you know that our Market Day partnership has raised over $96, 000 since 1996. This past year, $5, 493 was brought in due to your support and the direction of Mrs. Vickie Vanevenhoven, our volunteer chairperson of this effort. Thanks to you all!
Principals' Challenge
This past week was designated as Young Children's Book Week. At the suggestion of Mrs. Karrels, I took the challenge to read to as many children as possible on Wednesday of this past week. It was in the area of about 450 children. I read the story "The Day the Crayons Quit". Very funny story from the crayons point of view about being used too much, or too little. We all had a good time. Here we are in Mr. Heinze's class.
Dropping off in the Morning-helpful and healthy tips
Here are some tips to help things move along in the AM:
1) Please don't get out of your car. Please park in a spot if you would like to escort your child.
2) Try not to be calling or taking a call while dropping off the kids.
3) Please keep a single file, and be as patient as you can be.
4) Please pull up as far as you can along the cone line to allow for more cars to pull up.
5) Please don't stop to pull up along the sidewalk and stop to drop off-this holds up the line behind you.
Everyone has been trying and we want our morning arrival to be as pleasant, efficient, and safe as possible. Many Thanks!
Book Fair Fun
Thanks to all of you for your support of the Fall Book Fair! Our volunteers were terrific as was the direction of Mrs. Rice and Mrs. Wurster! The kids were sure excited to shop and buy the books! Please look forward to our Primary School Book Fair in springtime.
Pete the Cat is cool!
Volunteers at the ready!
What an awesome selection!
Mike Budisch, Principal
We had a very full week with our monthly assembly, the Intruder Drill, conferences, the Book Fair, the Food Drive, insects displayed, first Principal's Council meeting with gr. 4, and in house fieldtrips. Our school is alive with learning and discovery! Thanks for being a big part of our school community!
