AES Community Connection 12/16/21
Stay connected with our school newsletter...
Greetings!
Thank you so much for supporting your child's education!
We'd like to send a very special thanks to Ashley Connolly and all of the volunteers who brought the Scholastic Book Fair to our school. These volunteers went above and beyond to create a winter wonderland of books. It was so exciting to see students so enthusiastic about reading.
We'd also like to send a shout-out to our Lunch/Recess volunteers. We have a dedicated team who have committed one or more hours per week to help supervise our students in the lunch room and on the playground. This is such a gift to our teachers and students!
Please keep an eye out for opportunities to support AES in the New Year. Wishing you all a happy, healthy winter break!
Please look through this week's community connection for upcoming events and information!
Warm winter wishes,
Ashley

Attendance Matters!
Our attendance policy states that if a child is absent for 10 consecutive days, they will be disenrolled. In addition, teachers are not responsible for providing school work for planned vacations and absences. Please think twice when planning or extending vacations that involve missing school.

Does your child ride the bus?
Bus Passes and Bus Changes:
If you need a new bus pass or want your child to catch a different bus home than usual, please visit the Transportation homepage. Links to the Bus Pass Replacement Form and the Bus Change Request Form can be found there. Students will not be allowed on a bus if they are not registered for a bus, and we will not be accepting handwritten notes or text messages from parents allowing students to ride a different bus.
What do I do if my child has symptoms or exposure to COVID-19?

Aspen Elementary SKIERS
At AES we have been working on establishing essential agreements which guide the way we behave and interact with others throughout our school in every setting. This year, we are adopting the SKIER acronym as a way to frame our essential agreements school wide. We hope that you will reinforce these positive attributes with your child at home.
