We are needing some help with the following committees:

1. Carnival: This team of parents works with some school staff to plan the spring carnival. They meet every couple of weeks starting soon to begin planning.

2. Sunshine Committee: This team of parents works together to plan events for the staff (like teacher appreciation week).

3. Spirit Wear: This team creates the new designs for each year and sells spirit wear at school events.

4. Chess Club: Our Chess Club will be starting on January 12th from 8-9 a.m. every Thursday. We would love to have some adult volunteers to help support children. We want to increase the amount of clubs we offer but we can't do this without adult support. If you have a knowledge of chess that is great, but ALL volunteers are helpful:)

We are trying to get a Girls on the Run Team started at BRES this spring! We are gauging interest for both participants and coaches! No experience is required for coaching; all training material is provided.

Who: 3-5th grade girls

What: Girls on the Run offers programs designed to inspire girls of all abilities to recognize and embrace their inner strength and make meaningful connections with others. Trained coaches use physical activity and dynamic discussions to build social, emotional, and physical skills while encouraging healthy habits for life

When: After school twice weekly from 4:00-5:15pm (specific days are TBD based on coach availability). The season begins on February 27 and concludes with a celebratory 5K on March 20th.

Where: Bryan Road Elementary School

Coaches do not have to be parents or staff, then can be community members, college students, etc. For more information or if you *know* of anyone who might be a good coach, please put them in touch with Cara Forrest at caramforrest@gmail.com
