Meat Fats?

Food fat, is the fat that you would see on bacon, ribs, etc. Many people like eating the fat that is on bacon but is it healthily to eat? Researchers discovered that sometimes eating meat fats can cause your stomach to hurt and give you a stomach flu. Researchers also discovered that it reduces high cholesterol, it also depends on which kinda of meat fat you're eating. Trans fat gained notoriety several years ago when one state and a handful of cities banned the artificial kind, found in partially hydrogenated vegetable oil from restaurants. Lower cholesterol and a high/low combination can increase your risk of heart attack and stroke. Still hydrogenated oil remains a fairly common ingredient in processed foods, because adding hydrogen to vegetable oil gives it a longer shelf life.

Something You Didn't Know

Fat and Cholesterol

“Low-fat,” “reduced fat,” or “fat-free” processed foods are not necessarily healthy. One problem with a generic lower-fat diet is that it prompts most people to stop eating fats that are good for the heart along with those that are bad for it. And low-fat diets are often higher in refined carbohydrates and starches from foods like white rice, white bread, potatoes, and sugary drinks. Limit the amount of cholesterol you eat, especially if you have diabetes, for most people dietary cholesterol isn’t nearly the villain it’s been portrayed to be. Cholesterol in the bloodstream, specifically the bad LDL cholesterol, is what’s most important. And the biggest influence on blood cholesterol level is the mix of fats and carbohydrates in your diet—not the amount of cholesterol you eat from food.
