Tyngsborough High School
April 27, 2018
What's Happening!
The Class of 2018 is now in the home stretch! They have less than a month left of school, but have plenty going on as we push toward graduation on June 1. Prom, Academic Excellence Breakfast, Senior Awards Night, AP exams, sporting events, theater practice, senior week, just to name a few. Although this is a busy time for them, my hope and advice is that they take time to appreciate these final days and make the most of their time left in high school.
Career Exploration day took place on Wednesday; members from the community met with sophomores to discuss various careers. Thank you to all that took part in this event. Thursday afternoon a pep-rally was held to recognize and support our athletes that are participating in the Special Olympics today at Fitchburg State University. PALS members helped organize the event and will continue their support at the games. The THS Robotics team will be competing in the 2018 Botball tournament Saturday at UMass-Lowell. Over the last few months they have been hard at work designing and programming a robot to meet the challenges of the competition. Student Council members attended the Northeast Massachusetts Spring Conference in Saugus for leadership training and to share the success of this past year.
College acceptance deadline day is May 1st for seniors to inform schools that they will be attending next year. Congratulations on your acceptance and choice of where to attend next fall!
Have a great weekend!
