Culinary and Culture at the Culinary Institute of the Pacific
On the slopes of Diamond Head (Lēʻahi) rests the Culinary Institute of the Pacific the ʻĀina (land) is rich in history and culture. Chef Chad Nakamura and Dante Camara will guide you along on a special journey. Dante Camara will talk about the importance of this place and how food played a big part in its past, present and future. Chef Chad will then demonstrate and prepare a sumptuous menu of: Panfried Kalua Pork Cutlet- Katsu with Stewed Ulu infused with Butter, Garlic, Thyme and Macadamia Nuts accompanied by a Lomi Lomi Papaya Relish.
About Chef Chad Nakamura
Chef Chad Nakamura has an extensive culinary background and experience in working in kitchens around the world including the continental U.S., Switzerland, and Austria. He is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America and a member of the American Culinary Federation, International Food Service Executive Association and American Management Association International.
