IN SOLITUS
Training course on psychology tools for youth workers
What?
IN SOLITUS is a training course for youth workers and trainers aimed at:
Developing youth workers' competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes) and resources for adapting relevant and useful tools used in psychology to work with young people affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
What for?
A) To provide a theoretical background of different kinds of inner processes, that a (young) person can go through during and after the confinement in the COVID-19 crisis.
B) To foster youth workers´ capacities to feel grounded when it comes to work with young people's traumas.
C) To introduce a set of tools traditionally used in psychology and Gestalt therapy to deal with grief, loneliness, sadness, demotivation, etc for approaching young people under traumatizing experiences and to practice them in order to help them to provide themselves with emotional well-being (including drama therapy, art and music therapy techniques, mindfulness and body movement).
D) To promote the networking among participants so that they can plan further new projects under this topic or others connected with Erasmus Plus and young people well-being.
Approaches and Contents
Main contents will be:
1. Psychological effects of confinement on young people.
2. Main approaches when working with trauma and young people from a socio-therapeutic perspective.
3. Art therapy tools: plastic materials for personal awareness.
2. Gestalt Therapy essentials translated to non formal educational contexts
3. On-line adaptation of emotional education activities.
4. Body work activities based on bioenergetics of Alexander Lowen, Conscious movement of Marta Climent.
5. Meditation and breathing exercises from different traditions and fields.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS:
Participants attending this course have to meet the following criteria:
- Aged between 25 onwards
- Work with groups of people and be potential multipliers of the learning in the course
- Fully motivated to participate in all the activities bearing in mind their intensive emotional impact.
Please make sure that you can find participants with a professional profile as this course will requiere a very good level of maturity and self-awareness.
