Coke and mentos
By, JoBeth Kratz
My question for guineas hour
Well the mentos, the surface has thousands of tiny little pores which is where the bubbles form (this process is called nucleation) as the bubbles grow and they become more buoyant and float to the top and the bubbles keep on growing. Soon there's so much bubble that the soda just exploded and soon the bottle will over flow so much that it will go straight up.
Some other things that you can use
This reaction can happen with these kinds of sodas
7up, orange soda, mt dew, dr pepper, cherry cola, diet coke, coca cola, and pepsiThe best sodas to use is dr. pepper, cherry cola, diet coke, coca cola, and pepsi. Somehow these certain type of sodas reacted better then other sodas.
What in the sodas make it react this way
the mentos have, gelatin and gum arabic.
TOGETHER THESE INGREDIENTS EXPLODE INTO A GINORMOUS FIZZY MESS!!!
