Come see the awesome science projects that our 4-5th grade students have worked hard on! We will also display the science projects of our G/T students and other K-3rd students who have participated in this event.
The awards for the elementary science fair will be issued during our 3rd 9-weeks Awards Assembly on Thursday, March 24th.

Would you like to get a head start in learning Biology, Chemistry, or Physics?
Would you like to get a head start in learning Biology, Chemistry, or Physics? The STARS Science Camps will be offered during the summer of 2016. Each camp meets for 10 days on the campus of UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. The camps consist of laboratory and classroom activities, tours of the medical center, and a field trip.

Science Camps are day camps. There is no provision for overnight stay.
Any or all of the following may be considered as positive factors in selecting participants for our camps:
- Evidence of strong academic achievement, especially in math and science
- Foster youth
- Students in the Dallas ISD or neighborhoods surrounding UT Southwestern
- Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch
- Membership in one or more of the following groups, which are considered underrepresented in the sciences:
- Traditionally underrepresented minority students (Alaska Native, Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American Indian, Native Pacific Islander)
- Students who would be the first in their families to attend college
- Applicants with any limitations that place them in an underrepresented group
- Students from previous STARS camps
Breakfast and lunch will be provided. There is no fee for attending the camps, but attendance every day is mandatory. Please make sure there are no schedule conflicts (vacation, other camps, school events, etc.) that would prohibit attendance.
Application
You must complete an online application, upload or send us a copy of your latest report card and transcript, and have your math or science teacher complete the Teacher Evaluation Form, which is included in the application.

THE FIRST TEE OF DALLAS AFTER SCHOOL GOLF PROGRAM
Youth golf programs for boys and girls age 7-18 begin the second week of March.
The First Tee of Greater Dallas is focused on helping young people understand and develop The First Tee’s Nine Core Values and Nine Healthy Habits, as well as teaching them the game of golf. The First Tee introduces youth to the game of golf by teaching them the necessary skills, rules, and etiquette of the game. More importantly, the instructors and volunteers help children learn the skills and values necessary to succeed in life. For program information visit: www.thefirstteedallas.org
