Mrs. Jackson has set up a Chick-Cam in her room! The eggs are not scheduled to hatch until after Monday, but keep checking in to observe any changes. There is a 15 second delay in the feed and it has a 5 hour playback (so you can scroll back 5 hours, in case you miss anything).

A Few Reminders
*Please remember to label your child's jacket. Since it is still cool for recess most days, jackets are often needed. To prevent misplaced items, please make sure a label is easy to spot. All Lost and Found items are donated at the end of each month.
*Continue to complete and send in your forms for Take Me to Your Reader for the reading program and Hike & Bike.

From Nurse Gorrie
Dear 1st Grade Parents,
Just a short note to inform you that there has been a small outbreak of head lice in 1st grade, mostly concentrated in one classroom. The students in that classroom have all been examined and active cases in that classroom have been treated. Since all 1st graders do attend specials, lunch and recess together, I would ask that you be diligent in checking your student on a regular basis for head lice. Should you find head lice on your child it is very important that you notify the school nurse. Only if I am notified am I able to monitor in which classes cases are occurring and be proactive in preventing further outbreaks. If you have any questions on what to look for or how to treat active cases, please feel free to contact me by either email or phone. Thank you for your assistance in this pesky situation!
