Comet Communication - December 16th

Winter Break is Coming!!

As the kids like to say, 5 more Wake-Ups! We have a busy week as we work our way to Winter Break. Our classes will continue to work right up until the day of break where we will end the week with a fun activity.

Students are invited to participate in the dress up days throughout the week. The dress up days are listed below.

Our Homeroom classes have been competing with Classroom Door Decorating. Doors will be judged this week and prizes awarded on Thursday.

On Friday, we will end the week with an activity period. Students were provided with an opportunity to choose their activity and everyone received their first choice! Students will be playing games, basketball, volleyball, creating arts and crafts and even participating in a dance/karaoke room.

It's going to be a great week!

Pizza Hut - Literacy Project

CJH has teamed up with Pizza Hut as part of their Literacy Project.

Pizza Hut believes education is the key to unlocking a person's full potential, and we believe that educational success is rooted in childhood reading skills. Since 1984, Pizza Hut has nurtured a love of reading through the BOOK IT! Program – inspiring 1-in-5 Americans along the way! Now, through The Literacy Project, we have an even greater goal – to transform the lives of 100 million people in just 10 years, by enabling access to books and educational resources, empowering teachers and inspiring readers.

What do you need to do? Simply buy dinner from Pizza Hut during the month of December and a portion of their proceeds will be donated back to Coloma Junior High to purchase books and reading resources.
