KINDERGARTEN: RECAP & REVIEW
What have we done so far in Math?
Our vision for our students:
“Mathematically proficient students blend their knowledge of math content with their ability to apply that knowledge to solve problems, communicate math ideas, justify solutions, model math concepts, and reason to make sense of mathematics”
Goals for Today
1. Review Practices # 1 & 6
2. See "What Good Looks Like" from your colleagues
3. Going from closed to open ended questions
4. Getting more comfortable with Number Talks
4. Resources & next steps
Practices # 1 and # 6
Today our focus is on the two practices that should be present everyday in your lessons: effective problem solving and precision in mathematical calculations and communication . The other practices are used as tools and strategies to support our students' conceptual and procedural skills.
