why the wetlands are important
Wetlands are important because it is a home to other animals. that live in the wetlands like ducks, alligators, snakes, frogs, fish, beavers, turtles and many more need the wetlands. Lots of plants grow in the wetlands like flowers. Wetlands are important features in the landscape that provide numerous benifical services. Some of these services,or functions include protecting and improving water. Some common names for different types of wetlands are swamps ,marsh. Water saturation largely determines how the soil develops and the types of plants and animal communities living. Wetlands may be filled mostly with trees, grasses, shrubs or moss. To be called a wetland, an area be filled or soaked with water.

There is different kinds of wetlands. There are wetlands that either have shallow water standing above the soils surface. These areas also need to produce certain soils or plants life. Check the soil is it damp to the touch. Does it sparkle in liquid. Wetlands are the link between land and water.To be called a wetland ,an area must be filled or soaked with water. Some wetlands are actually dry at the times.Wetlands filter and purify water as it flows though the system.
what would happen if we didn't have wetlands
*We would not have homes. *No trees.
* No birds flying around you.
*Lots of floods would happen.
*No flowers and animals.
*No sine of life around you.
What the people can do to help the wetlands
people can start to not ruin the wetlands. make new homes some were ells then wetlands. Make a plan to billed stuff like homes away from the wetland even if it is dry because the wetland does that sum times when it is really hot out. so do not ruin the wetlands they are important.
