6.6 Public Opinion&Political Action
Patrick, Madison, Donovan, Jordan, and Olyssia
Section Summary
American people oppose the idea of a government with a large scope, but approve of its features when in practice. Political opinion on scope of government can be contradictory, making it hard for politicians to know what the public wants. Instead of misconception from other countries that America’s democracy stems from a direct voice, it actually is more about representation. This representation displays the potential interest of the people through outlets such as protests, and electing a representative with similar political views.
