Riverview Report

Here's What's Happening at Riverview

Happy October! Fall is in the air and I am loving it. The change in seasons always brings new joy and energy with it. We have an exciting month ahead of us with some big events coming up in the next few weeks including: PTA Birthday Treat Friday, SEP's, The Reflections Contest, Fall Break, Halloween, and our first Book Fair.

Picture day last week was a success. I loved seeing all of your children dressed up so nice. I even had a few tell me that they practiced their smile in the mirror that morning. With the weather cooling down, just a reminder that students will be outside for recesses, so they may want to bring a jacket with them to school. We encourage parents to write their child's name on any personal items so they can be returned if lost or misplaced. Also, thank you for helping your children pick a meeting spot for their siblings outside rather than the older students going to the classrooms to pick up their younger siblings. This has helped a lot to lessen the congestion in the hallways after school.

Fall Break will start October 13th. This year we also have Monday off. This means there will be no school on Thursday 10/13, Friday 10/14, and Monday 10/17. Halloween is on a Monday this year, and we will be celebrating here at the school that day. Our Parade will start at 9:00 am.

Hope you and your family have a wonderful evening.

Thank you,

Ms. Poulson

Big picture

The Halloween Parade will start at 9:00 am on Monday, October 31st. We will start by parading through the hallways as we pick up each class to join the parade and then will adventure outside. We invite parents to line the sidewalks around the baseball diamond across the street from the school (it is the closest field to the school). This will be the same as it has been in past years. If you have any questions, you are welcome to call the office or reach out to your child's teacher. *Students will be allowed to wear their mask during the parade, but won't be able to wear them during school.
