Reading Challenge & Great Rombout Read Aloud
Great Rombout Read Aloud
Some of the Rombout staff participated in the first annual Rombout Read Aloud. The Read Aloud is something that we have decided to start at the school so that we can all share our love and passion for reading. This year we created a virtual video read aloud to share with the Rombout community. We plan to hold the read aloud every year so that we can continue to share our love and passion for reading. Sit back and enjoy the books/poems/excerpts that have been shared!
Rombout Reading Challenge
During the month of March, the students of Rombout participated in our first schoolwide reading challenge. Students could use the digital program, myOn, to read their books or use printed books to participate in the challenge. There were 396 books read throughout the building. Those students that participated will all receive a digital certificate for participation. We are also recognizing the top reader from each grade. The winners for each grade will be receiving a gift card to Ron's ice cream.
Congratulations to our winners:
6th grade - Syeira Kozlik
7th grade - George Walker
8th grade - Luke Kozlik and Devin Byrne
