Parent Contacts

We have asked that parent conferences and contacts be logged in View-It for documentation. There is now a requirement for documentation pf parent contact for Sped students. We are covered in that we will use View-It to record our parent contacts. Please ensure this is in place for our students.

Story Book Parade

We will begin in the PK-1st grade main hallway. We will parade down the main hall (picking up Life Skills, PK, Kinder, and 1st) and go into the gym. We will then exit the gym and travel down 4th grade hallway, 3rd grade hallway, and 2nd grade hallway (picking up 4th, 3rd, and 2nd grade). Once every grade level is in the parade, we will then begin seating by grade level in the main hallways so they can watch the other grade levels parade by. (Life Skills, PK, K, 1st in their main hallway...4th grade will be seated in the gym...3rd in main hallway outside of 4th grade hallway...and 2nd will just parade back to their rooms).

Order of parade:

  • Life Skills
  • PK
  • Kinder
  • 1st
  • 2nd
  • 3rd
  • 4th

Transportation Tags

  • When you receive a new student, please contact Mrs. Caldwell to get a tag made for the student.
  • Remember to use the lists Mrs. Caldwell provided to log any student leaving without a tag. There should be a list by each exit used to log the student names.
  • Set up a system to check your HR class tags on a regular basis.

Taking Attendance

TEA is closely monitoring campuses for timely attendance reporting at the district chosen time. Our attendance time is 9:00. TEA has discussions in the works to begin pulling campus funding at a rate of $30 per student per day for missing the attendance time period. In a class of 22, that would be $660 per day of missed attendance reporting. I see the reports at 10:00 and there are multiple classes who have not reported their attendance. Please take some time to reflect on what measures you need to put in place to ensure this happens by the designated time.

All TTESS evaluated staff will need to create an SLO. ( Less Than Annual and evaluated staff) The SLO, Initial Skill Profile (with student data), and Targeted Skill Profile will need to be completed by 9/26. We will begin conferences for goals and SLO after this date.
