Dear Newcomb Families,
We are looking forward to engaging our families in various events throughout the year and hope that you are able to participate. It was great to see so many students, families, and staff members at our Newcomb Family BINGO Night earlier this week. Thank you to all of the students and families who were in attendance! A great time was had by all!
Join Principal Ashley Walulak at Newcomb Middle School for "Coffee and Conversation" at 9am tomorrow morning (Friday, October 21, 2022). Various topics regarding your child's experience and your experience as a parent will be discussed. Please bring your ID with you and check in at the main office upon arrival. Hope to see you there!

SOCKTOBER 2022
“Pair” up with us as we gear up to support “toes” in need in our community. As a way to make a difference in our community, we are asking students to participate in Newcomb's SOCKTOBER by donating new pairs of socks for those in our area experiencing homelessness. Socks will be collected through October 31st during homeroom. As a way to say thank you, our students will be given buzz bucks for empathy for every pair they donate. Thank you in advance for being part of our community service activity.
Low Cost/ No Cost Halloween
We are engaging our students in a Low Cost/No Cost Halloween at Newcomb Middle School. We are using this friendly homeroom competition as a way to be invested in our school community! Students and staff are able to dress up in costumes on Monday, October 31st as long as it matches the theme for their homeroom. Other costumes will not be permitted. Homerooms will be judged and winners will receive soft pretzels from the Pretzel Factory. All students and staff are encouraged to participate! If you have any questions regarding the chosen theme, please email your child’s first period teacher.
As we gear up for Halloween this year, please remind your students that they may not bring candy to school or on the bus. Thank you for your cooperation and we wish all of you a happy and safe Halloween.
Winter Sports Physicals Due October 31, 2022
Any Newcomb Middle School student who is interested in playing a Winter sport (boys basketball, girls basketball, wrestling, or cheerleading) must have their physical paperwork turned in to Mrs. Caruso in the Nurse's office by Monday, October 31st, 2022. If students do not submit their physical forms by the deadline, they will not be able to participate in a winter sport. Physical forms are available on the school website or can be picked up at the school nurse's office.
Thank you for your support of Pemberton Athletics!
COMING SOON: NEWCOMB CONFERENCES
The Genesis Parent Portal for Newcomb Middle School Conferences will open Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 7am and remain opened until Monday, November 14, 2022 at 10am. Parent-teacher conferences are being offered in person at Newcomb Middle School on November 17th from 1-3pm and 5-7pm, November 21st from 1-3pm, and November 22nd from 5-7pm. Once the portal is open, please choose the times that are most convenient for you to meet with your child's teachers to review the individual academic progress of your child. We encourage all parents and guardians to register as soon as possible as we are expecting a large turnout and want to accommodate everyone. Appointments are necessary to make these accommodations possible. Conferences are scheduled in increments of 10 minutes. If you feel that you may need more than 10 minutes, please email your child's teacher with a request for additional time. Please be sure to account for travel time between classrooms and leave room between conferences to maximize your time with individual teachers.
Instructions to schedule a conference can be accessed by using the attached link:
