Ms. Crisp's Weekly Newsletter
April 11th - 15th
What's Happening This Week?
Happy Monday, all! Just a few things to keep in mind this week:
Help! We're really running low on snacks and pencils!! Any donations would be very much appreciated! :)
We'll be having another practice EOG during class on Tuesday April 12th, but this one will be the Math EOG. This will help your student by giving them practice with the format of the test and the kinds of questions that could be asked. It will also help me as a teacher by revealing any areas we might need to review before the actual EOG!
If you'd like to help with or donate materials to our Spring Fling booth, please make sure you contact our room parent (Heather Templeton, hwtempleton@gmail.com) and let her know.
In the classroom, we're continuing our solar system unit in Science, working with graphs in Math, and working with text inferences in ELA!
What Are We Learning This Week?
- Daily 5: Drawing inferences from text clues and, as always, building up stamina to be better readers and writers.
- Reading Groups: Deciphering and summarizing non-fiction texts.
- Science: Space and the planets!
- Math: Wrapping up our quick unit on graphs.
