SLCS District Update

Superintendent's Update
Good evening SLCS Families and Staff Members,
As you may have read or heard, there was a bomb threat discovered today on a stall in the 2nd floor B-wing girls’ bathroom at South Lyon High School. The message said “A bomb will blow today 4/27”.
Students were evacuated from the building and officers from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) were dispatched to campus to help with the search and provide additional security. A sweep was conducted by K-9 dogs and officers from multiple law enforcement agencies. SLCS administrators and officers from the OCSO are continuing the investigation.
We thank our students and staff for their patience and cooperation as we worked through the sweep of the building. The investigation is ongoing and we will keep you posted when more information becomes available. The building was able to be cleared by the OCSO so we were able to open the building up for some after school activities.
