JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
We are so excited for the 2017-2018 school year! Let's start this year off by including our parents and giving our communities a peak inside our wonderful world of public education. Encourage your parents to post their kids' first day back to school pictures with the hashtag, #JEFCOEDBacktoSchool. We also want to encourage our principals, teachers, and staff to post any of their back to school photos using #JEFCOEDBacktoSchool. We will be following the hashtag on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and will share contributions!
This year's back to school video was centered around gratitude for our teachers! Our teachers are so much more than any one word could describe. Teachers change our lives and make us better people. Teachers nurture us, teach us, and prepare us for the world. We are forever grateful for the teachers throughout Jefferson County and we hope this school year is the best one yet! View video below.

We Rise Up. We Rise Like the Day.
Our bus drivers are often the first people our students see in the morning and the last people they see in the afternoon. With over 400 bus routes, transporting over 19,000 students daily, our Transportation Department is dedicated to providing safe and efficient transportation. We are thankful for our bus drivers and their service to helping our students rise up! View video below.

New Disciplinary Procedures
Jefferson County will be looking at discipline through a new lens. By building relationships with our students and parents, we can ensure better school days all around. In order to build those relationships, we must have an open mind, open communication, and work hand-in-hand with our administrative staff. View video below.
