A Message from the Principal ~ Progress Being Made
Dear Bobcat Family~
Our Bobcat family will be able to take advantage of outdoor lunch with your children and a beautiful place for after school family activities sponsored through PTSP. High expectations have never stopped with our student body. To achieve great things, we must keep our model of well rounded, healthy educational goals. We feel giving our children this beautiful area has already begun to stimulate the process. We have so many exciting ideas for our new courtyard.
Great appreciation to our CEO, CFO, and the Bay Haven Board members for their investment in the enhancement of our Bobcat educational experience.
We're Bobcat Incredible!

Join Us for a Night with Dr. Bill Daggett
To The Haven Family,
Our Haven theme this year is “Great to Incredible!” We all know that we are great and blessed in so many ways. Even with our successes, we must always be mindful to continue to grow academically, ethically, and socially if we are to prepare our young people to be productive citizens and leaders in the Twenty-first Century. In order to move to the next level, yes, to incredible, we have partnered with Dr. Bill Daggett and the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE). Dr. Daggett’s work in the field of education is renowned worldwide. He is coming here to visit our schools and officially kick off our “Great to Incredible” theme. Please look over the following information and make plans to join us for this incredible event!
Respectfully,
Larry R. Bolinger

As a Haven mom myself I often wondered why do screenings when my children see a pediatrician regularly? And here's the answer: On our screening day, we receive the benefit of having several nurses from the Department of Health and special equipment that most pediatric offices do not have. If your student does not pass a portion we simply send home a letter to inform you of that and it is then your choice whether or not to seek further evaluation.
We do NOT bill you nor your insurance. We do NOT require that you follow up. The charter schools are conducting our screenings in the same way we've done in the past. There have been no changes in the way health services are provided for our schools this year. If you are considering whether or not to allow your child to be screened I highly encourage it! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.

News from the Lunchroom
BAY HAVEN
Welcome Back!
Here are a few notes from the café!
NEW LUNCH PRICES:
Elementary: $3.00
Middle: $3.25
Breakfast: $2.00
You are encouraged to complete a free/reduced lunch application NOW. Even if you’re unsure if you would qualify, it’s simple. Just go to www.myschoolapps.com and be sure to select Bay Haven as the district. September 21st, 2018 all prior year status will expire. Your student will go to a full paying status. Also, if your child has transferred, their status from their previous school does not transfer with them. They will be full paid status until your new application has been approved.
There is a convenient way for you to add money on your child’s lunch account. www.MySchoolBucks.com. This also allows you to keep track of what your child is spending, as well as get “Low Balance” notifications. You DO NOT have to add money this way to get the notifications! We will gladly accept cash or check.
Bay Haven INC. has a “No charging” policy that will be enforced. If your child does not have lunch money, they will be given an alternative lunch. This is listed in the student handbook.
We are excited to offer our students ala-cart items. These are additional whole grain snacks, drinks, and ice-cream that are approved thru the state that can be purchased at the snack area daily. Students can use cash or have money taken from their account. If you would like to put a “limit” or a “No Ala-Cart” note on your students account, please Email your child’s school cafeteria manager for assistance with that.

We are also excited to offer new products to our students this year and need your help! Please encourage your child to utilize our cafeterias! For elementary we have four options daily to choose from. The hot meal option or three Grab& Go options which include peanut butter and jelly sandwich, yogurt or ham & cheese sub sandwich. We also have something new for middle school this year. On line 1 we have the hot meal option. On line 2 we have pizza, burgers, corn dogs and nuggets w/fries or chips, salad and fruit. On Wednesdays we have a bake potato bar as well. Lunch menus are sent home monthly in the e-blast.
