DVD Literacy

Our DVD Literacy committee will begin taping students soon! DVD Literacy is a program offered by Vernfield's Home and School Association. Each year, each student that participates is recorded reading part of a favorite book and asked several questions about their school experience. At the end of their 5th grade year, the students will receive a DVD with their recordings from each year on it. Taping will begin soon with 5th Grade. Please look for more information soon in your child's Communicator.

The DVD Literacy committee needs volunteers to help record the students during the school day. No experience necessary! If you are interested in volunteering, please email Amy Thompson at

2018-2019 Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year is now open! If you have a child who will be attending Kindergarten next year, or if you know of anyone who does, please read or share this registration information online. There are important upcoming dates in January.

Registering students on time is very important in determining staffing for the upcoming year. It ensures that class sizes are not too large and the children have enough educational support. Thank you!
