Dust Bowl
1930-1939
What it was like
Being a rancher in the 1930s was a rough time . Men were going from job to job trying to just make enough money to support themselves or their family. Millions of people from all over the world who owned stocks waited helplessly as stock values crashed. People from southeastern Colorado, southwest Kansas and the panhandles of Oklahoma and Texas all migrated to California.
